What we're forgetting about Fred Thompson, sports stuff.
- With all the enthusiasm about the possibility of a Fred Thompson run for president, aren't we forgetting that he may have fired Serena Southerlyn for being a lesbian? You'd think that would hurt him, or it could help him.
- Quick Final Four picks: Florida over UCLA in a classic, Georgetown over Ohio St., Florida over Georgetown.
- I'm still not a fan of MLB starting the season on Sunday night, but what can be done. At least this year they have an intriguing match-up (though the Angels won the world Series the year I wrote that post. I've been blogging for over five years? Dang...)
- Anyway, here's my Q&D MLB Picks AL West: Oakland AL Central: Cleveland AL East: Yankees Wild Card: White Sox NL West: Dodgers NL Central: Brewers NL East: Phillies Wild Card: Mets World Series: Cleveland over Mets.
- It's interesting that we've gotten to the point that I will be very surprised if Tiger does not win the Masters next week. I'm not sure if his dominance or Roger Federer's is more impressive. In tennis, one bad match and you're gone; every tournament is "match play." A golfer can recover from a bad day.

well, at least it's actually april this time around.
One more thought -- let's retire, "One Shining Moment." It's traversed from relevant to irrelevant, to kind of ironically kitchy to where we don't remember why it's there anymore.
This may just well be the stupidest peice of sports commentary in the history of the Sports Nut feature, and that's saying something.
