Frayster Spotlight

I know it runs counter to the goal of expanding our circle, but...

The article about Auros the fact-checker made me realize another opportunity that Slate has missed, and we might be able to fill.

Namely, instead of highlighting someone who e-mails corrections, why not highlight those who have contributed countless quality posts to the board as a running feature? Who wouldn't enjoy reading a profile of historyguy, The_Bell, ghost, Ender, Demonosthes, etc.?

The background information could probably be collected via an e-mail interview

It seems to me this would serve two purposes -- it would be an interesting read, collecting that poster's best posts, and it would also provide another incentive to keep prviding quality material.

I'll try to draft one in the next week or so, and see what you guys think.

That sounds like fun, John. On a related note, if I knew where to do it, I'd recommend Hellcat Anonymous for a "Best Blog Weirdness" award. It looks like they're wrapping up their surreal adventure in the ailurophile's netherworld, and it would be a shame to see such ferocious creativity sink into obscurity. I wonder if there's a Nick Bantock award out there somewhere?

Did you figure out whether Hellcat Anonymous was a "free-style public art project or some free-style insanity"? Hhahhahaaaa

I took a look at your "art work", Nice touch, almost looks like genuine Walter Arensbergs.....The Kandinski copy-cat isn't bad either.

This is one of my favorites...and then of course I'll never forget the first time...

Thinking about this some more, it would probably be a good opportunity to put the Wiki in WikiFray. In other words, make the collaborative works that we all contribute to.

Maybe we could put them in Google docs and invite collaborators.

John! that's a great idea. I tried out the collaborative thing in Google docs and found it works beautifully.
